About

I have always known I’d be a teacher. I started my journey as an elementary teacher in Chicago Public Schools. Some serious growing happened for me there! Five years later, after moving to Kansas City and having my daughter, I took a yoga class that shifted the trajectory of my life. I felt this genuine connection to myself and something greater than me that left me excited and wanting to learn more. A year-and-a-half and 200 hours of training later, I was teaching yoga.

I believe that our lives are better when we are in tune with our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs for health. The practice of yoga encourages us to be conscious of these needs and also to honor them.

Teaching yoga to kids has been a natural and particularly wonderful unfolding. I have the honor of supporting each student’s growth as we explore ways for them to feel at home in their own bodies as well as within our yogi class community. Kids’ playfulness, energy, and creativity brings levity to our practice together, and this dose of joy is an elixir we could all use!

I feel exceedingly fortunate to be able to offer yoga to both kids and adults. I love building community and connecting with students of all ages; a sense of belonging to ourselves and the world around us is a foundation for healing and becoming our best selves.
